How to use this map
Every pin type is its own layer — tap a chip above the map to show or hide it. Start with Marinas and Visitor Centers to get oriented, then turn on Camping or Lodging to see how close a place actually is to where you'll spend your time on the water. Trailheads and Parks & Visitor Info are off by default — flip them on once you've narrowed things down.

Flaming Gorge Map FAQ
Does this map show the actual trails, or just pins?
Right now it plots trailheads, listings, and recreation-area infrastructure as pins — not the literal trail line on the ground. Real trail-line overlays are on our roadmap as we backfill trail geometry for more trails.
Why does the map show marinas instead of entrance stations?
Flaming Gorge is administered by the U.S. Forest Service, not the National Park Service — there's no gated entrance station to plot. Most visitors access the reservoir through one of the three marinas (Buckboard, Lucerne Valley, or Cedar Springs), so those are shown instead.
Why are trailheads and parks layers off by default?
Showing every layer at once on load gets cluttered fast. Tap a layer's chip above the map to turn it on.
Can I use this to plan where to stay?
Yes — turn on Lodging and/or Camping and compare pins against the marinas and visitor centers to judge how close (or far) a property really is from where you plan to spend your time on the water.
