Nice small museum with lots of local and national related history. Gift shop is quite complete and fair priced. Museum entrance is free. Staff were very helpful.

This is a great place. Highly recommend for people. As of June 10 and 11 I do a 82nd Airborne display. Tell people how they lived in dirt and mud. Follow me on Facebook. I'm Presley Pace. And follow the sweetwater museum also on facebook.

Great free museum in Green River. They have some really cool artefacts on display and very interesting exhibits on the local history. Make sure you watch the short documentary on the Rock Springs Massacre, it's very sobering. If you have time, also check out the Rock Springs museum just up the road. It's a lot bigger, but the Sweetwater County Museum has a special charm to it.

We went here for a school field trip and had the most amazing and educational experience! The staff engaged with our students to ensure learning, inquiry, and fun. Displays are well presented with attention to local historical value. The museum is a must see for travelers, educators and locals alike.
