Just spent 4 nights and 3 days fishing out of Flamming Gorge Resort. This was my third trip there. My first trip in the mid 90s was less than acceptable and I thourht the place was a dump, with the exception of the restaurant. The last two visits have been exceptional. The room interiors are a modern rustic with a fishing theme. The view from the front porches of each cabin are a great location to watch the sunset. The restaurant was pretty good though I thought the breakfasts were tasteless. Other than that issue the staff consists of the most charming women (waitresses, hostesses, and front desk) one could expect to encounter. I would have to give the staff a 5+ rating. The guys in the fly shop were very well trained and pleasant too. Our Guide Cody Elder has a nose for fish and was a great guy to spend three days with.

It's the location. Not much choice So you know the deal. Dutch John is your alternative. So if your all about the fishing on the fantastic Green River, it's Dutch John. You can always drive the short distance and get a Flaming Gorge meal. I will be there fishing for five days in August. I will give another review after I have a resent experience.

Me and my wife came to eat on our anniversary and after we were seated we sat for 15 mins with waitresses walking back and forth time and time again without greeting. We couldn't even get a water. It wasn't very busy and most of the people had there food. Then another couple water seated near us and they were given service right away. This is the second time this has happened. Dont know why we went in again but options are limited in the area. Will never walk in those doors again.

Flaming Gorge Resort is full of great staff that helped me out when my boat trailer broke down. I will be a loyal customer to Flaming Gorge Resort every time I’m visiting the river. Their shuttle service is also extremely reliable. Thank you FGR!
