I stayed here twice during the 2nd week in June, heading to Denver from Oregon and back. The first time I stayed in a basic cabin and had a miserable time. I don't know what I was thinking, not getting a place with a bathroom - who wants to walk to the bathroom with their dogs (you can't leave them alone in the cabin) in the windy, barren dark at 2 a.m.?? I had to face up to the fact that I'm not 20 anymore! The cabin was so cold, despite the little heater going all night, and the wind was hellish. Plus, I figured I didn't need a kitchen because I had a camp stove and gear, but couldn't cook because a stove couldn't stay lit in that awful wind. The cabin shook and the wind howled. My little dogs struggled to walk and there wasn't a great place for them to walk anyway - lots of gravel and weeds and TOO MUCH WIND! Tried going somewhere else in town (the community college) to walk them but the wind followed. I left as early as I could - I just wanted to get in my car and get the heater going! I would rate the basic cabin as a 1 or 2. Having learned my lesson, I changed my reservation the following week to one of the deluxe cabins and the experience was dramatically different (though it was still the same weedy, gravel lot for the dogs and once again very windy, though not quite as bad as the first time). The cabin was so comfortable and I stayed until check out. Laid on the comfy couch and read (didn't want to sit much after all that driving!) Slept great in the bed. Nice bathroom. There was an a/c that wasn't all that powerful but the ceiling fans helped a lot. Nice kitchen, full fridge and freezer. I would rate the deluxe cabin as a 5 as cabins go. So I averaged the "rooms" score to a 3. Do yourself a favor and pay the extra bucks for the comfort of the deluxe. The staff were sweet, informative and helpful. Oh, and both times there was no functioning WiFi in the evenings, but in the deluxe, I had it in the a.m..
